We offer two emergency family shelter locations: Beach House Ashland and Beach House Erie.
Beach House Ashland is our newest emergency family shelter, located on Ashland Ave. in Toledo, Ohio. This facility has 17 bedrooms and can house up to 75 individuals.
Our original emergency family shelter is Beach House Erie. This shelter was established in 1921 and is located on Erie St. in Toledo, Ohio, and has 6 bedrooms. We can serve 25 individuals at this location.
Your monthly donation to Beach House Ashland or Beach House Erie goes toward operational costs of running the shelters, essential support resources such as case management and clinicians. It also helps us ensure we have necessities such as bedding, hygiene items, bath products, and food.
Once our Participants are ready to leave our emergency shelters, we help them find homes to rent. Our housing programs include Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing. Families are entered into one of these programs depending on their individual needs.
Your monthly donation to our supportive housing programs allows for help with living essentials such as rent, heat, and water. It also supports our Participants in gaining financial independence through case management for at least two years.
We offer community education and outreach through Providence Center. Leading Families Home merged services with Providence Center to better meet the needs of each Participant.
We offer morning and evening classes, and now hold virtual classes as well. Our classes include Men's Domestic Violence Perpetrator’s Group; Women Who Use Violence Group; Anger Management; Parent Education; and Parenting Plus & Parenting Support classes designed around the age of the child.
