Adopt a Family In Shelter or Our Housing Programs!
Every year, Leading Families Home holds Family Adoptions for the families in our Shelters and housing programs. We love helping our parents provide gifts for their children - and provide gifts for them, too! If you'd like to spread a little hope and joy this holiday season, please consider adopting one of our families!
How It Works
Simply go to our webpage that lists our families, click the ADOPT button beneath the family you'd like to adopt, send us your contact information, and that's it! We'll update the website to show your family has been adopted by you (just give us 24 hours to make the updates).
You may view the family's wish lists online, too - plus, you can download and print them if you'd like (or email us, and we'll send them to you).
The deadline to have gifts to our Shelter is December 17th. This allows us enough time to get the gifts to our families in time for the holidays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I Have to Wrap the Gifts?
No! In fact, it may be easier if you leave the gifts unwrapped. That way we can ensure they go to the correct person in the family. However, if you'd like to wrap the gifts, you may! Just be sure to note which family member the gift is for.
Where Do I Deliver the Gifts?
Please deliver your family's gifts to: Leading Families Home, 2283 Ashland Ave., Toledo, OH 43620.
You may drop off gifts Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 9am to 4pm. Please come to our front door and ring the doorbell. One of our team members will let you in.
May I Adopt More than One Family?
Yes, you may adopt as many families as you like!
What If I Can't Deliver the Gifts or Adopt My Family Anymore?
Sometimes emergencies happen, and we understand! If you find yourself in a situation where you're no longer able to adopt the family or purchase gifts, please let us know! We'll relist the family online so that they can find another donor. No worries!
