Macy's in Franklin Park Mall Holds Charity Round Up
Macy’s Department Store, located in Franklin Park Mall at 5001 Monroe St., Ste D100, Toledo, OH 43623, is holding a Round Up charity drive for Leading Families Home from October 16, 2024, to October 31, 2024.
During the charity drive, Macy’s will offer customers the opportunity to voluntarily round their purchase up to the nearest dollar (up to $.99) and donate their change to Beach House, Inc. dba Leading Families Home. This ask will be made via the pin pad at the registers at Macy’s Toledo location and will state Leading Families Home as the beneficiary on the receipt.
“We are very excited to partner with Macy’s in Toledo to raise funds for families facing homelessness in our shelters and housing programs,” says Stephanie Reighard, Executive Assistant. “These donations will mean so much to us, and so much to our families.”
All funds will go directly to serving families facing homelessness in LFH’s emergency family shelters and housing programs. In 2023, Leading Families Home served over 400 individuals in their emergency shelters and over 1,000 individuals in their housing programs.

How It Works
Want to donate your extra change to Leading Families Home? Simply shop at Macy's between October 16 - 31. When you check out, you will be asked if you'd like to round up your purchase to the nearest $0.99 - the extra change will be donated to Leading Families Home.
How Donations Are Used
Leading Families Home will use the donations raised through the Macy's Round Up for Charity fundraiser to support those in our emergency family shelters and housing programs.
Leading Families Home operates two emergency family shelters in Toledo, OH and two housing programs. We also serve our Participants through behavioral health services and community education/outreach programs.
Who We Serve at Leading Families Home
Leading Families Home serves families and individuals facing homelessness in Lucas County. We accept single women, couples, and parents with children, including single men with children.
We have 6 rooms at our Beach House Erie location and can shelter 25 individuals at one time. We have 17 rooms at our Beach House Ashland location and can shelter 75 individuals at one time.
Meals are served three times a day and snacks are given between meals.
Each individual who enters our shelters receives a new pillow and bedding. If we have the resources, we also provide them with hygiene items and bath towels.
The following stats are from 2023:

- Average length of stay: 66 days
- Individuals served in emergency shelter: 402
- Individuals served in housing programs: 2,777
- Meals served in emergency shelter: 5,766
